C1 / Honors - Read "The Gettysburg Address" and "Lincoln's Second Inaugural" and explain why you think these two speeches are some of the most important documents in US History.
Honors - Read 4.3 and pay attention to the way the war progresses and what some of the significant turning points are. Read "Died of Democracy" and, in writing, explain the meaning of the title using 3 examples from the reading.
C1 - Read 4.3 and answer the following questions:
1) Explain the three most important events that "turned the tide" for the Northern forces
2) Explain what you see as the two most important consequences of the war
