Due Thursday:  Finish the section on Reconstruction and read "The New View of Reconstruction" - prepare for a "3 Question" quiz.  You will need to be able to address what Foner saw as the successes and failures of Reconstruction and what has factored into the different interpretations of the accomplishments of the Reconstruction during different periods in the country's history (i.e. the 1920-30s, the 1960s and the early 1980s - the time of the article's publication).
