Homework - 11/12

Due Thursday:

• Read pages 396-402 (stop at "Old Hickory's...) - be able to identify the features of teh social and political changes that were developing in the country around the time of Andrew Jackson's ascendance to the presidency.
• Read "Andrew Jackson and the New Democracy" - be able to identify the elements that were influencing the democratic movement in Tennessee, the role that General William Carroll had in advocating for them and where Andrew Jackson fit into the democratic movement in Tennessee - you should place the greatest emphasis on pages 51-59 (just the first column).  The quiz won't come from beyond those pages.
