Due Wednesday: Please read pages 381-399 in Hofstadter (chapters 3 & 4 on Herbert Hoover) and 836-844 in the textbook and prepare for a quiz.
For the Hofstadter chapter, be able to explain how Hoover's personal and economic philosophies guided his action (inaction?) in the first few years of the Great Depression.
