Due Wednesday: Read the packet on the Sedition & Espionage Acts. From the first part of the packet, you should be able to explain how the idea of civil liberties evolved during World War I and the ideas behind why the laws were implemented. From the second part of the reading, you should be able to explain how the Sedition & Espionage Acts were implemented and which groups and ideas were targeted.
You should also finish the textbook reading by Monday - the reading for Thursday will cover a lot of the ideas in the preparation for peace, so you can skim that.
