Due Thursday: Read 730-732 and answer question 3 in the Section 4 assessment. Also, read "1905: Revolution in Russia" and answer the following questions:
- Explain why the workers state that they are gathering at the Winter Palace and appealing to Czar Nicholas II.
- What do the people want the Czar to do and why?
- Interpret the final paragraph, considering why the peasants feel that if their petition is not addressed that they have "no hope". Use some of the points in the petition to help explain your answer.
Work on your NHD Project. Projects are due on Tuesday, January 10.
We will be discussing Italian unification on Thursday / Friday and German unification on Monday. Information from these will be on the mid-term. You can read over the sections (24.1, 24.2) in the textbook for those days so that you might understand the discussion more completely, or you can read them once you have completed your project.
