World History II (C1) - C Block

Due Wednesday:  Complete the "Arab Spring" worksheet and read pages 593-595 in your textbook.  You will have a "3 question quiz" on the textbook, emphasizing what was occurring in France that would lead to a revolution in 1789.  Don't just remember what the causes were, but why they were causes.

World History II(H) - D / F Blocks

Due Wednesday:  Read "Federalist 10" and deal with your assigned passages.  You should read the whole piece, as it is one of the more important arguments for ratifying the US Constitution and addresses Rousseau's idea of the "general will" - both in considering states as possible "factions", as well as factions within states.

As you read, you should either summarize the odd or even bracketed passages.  If you don't feel that you can summarize the main ideas of that passage, you should explain what is confusing to you about it or what questions you have about it that are keeping you from confidently writing a summary.
