Due Tuesday:  Read the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions and be able to explain their primary position on states' rights and how they explain how those rights have been violated (you don't have to write your answer for this)

Due Wednesday: Read "The Election of 1800" and prepare for a quiz by focusing on the following questions:

• How does the author present the move of the nation's capital?
• What evidence is provided that support for the Federalist party was weakening by 1800?
• How did Federalists and Republicans portray what a Republican presidential administration would do for the country?
• How did the Election of 1800 play out?  What were the lasting effects of the election?
