US History (C2) - A Block

Due Thursday:  Read pp. 576 - 581 in the packet on WWII and answer the side questions (start at "What was D-Day?" and end at "How did Harry Truman become President?")  Answer the 3 questions on page 577 for Extra Credit.

World History II(H) - B / G Blocks

Due Wednesday:  Read pp. 771 - 777 and answer the following questions:

1)  How did Vladimir Lenin seize and maintain power in Russia?
2)  How did Josef Stalin seize power?
3)  How did Josef Stalin strengthen the Russian economy?  (If you believe the methods didn't actually serve to strengthen Russia, you may address that)

**NOTE:  I realize that I may have given different versions of these questions in class, but they are all the same in principle, so if you wrote down the questions in class, please feel free to address them as you wrote them down.**

US History (C1) - E Block

Due Thursday:  Read pp. 581 - 585; 589 - 590 (stop at "To Bomb...") and explain how the US prosecutes the war in the European theater (including in Africa) and in the Pacific Theater.
