Due Monday:  Read the packet on the perceptions of the effects of World War I and the Treaty of Versailles and respond to the following questions.  This is a double homework assignment - a HW pass can only excuse you from 3 of the readings.  C1 - choose 3 of the readings to complete

Wilson - Use examples from Wilson's speeches to show how he believed peace should be achieved and why he felt this way.
Clemenceau - Explain how Clemenceau feels about the German national character and why he believes that Germany should be feared.
German delegation - How do the Germans at the peace conference use the ideas and words of President Wilson against him in terms of what is actually in the Treaty of Versailles?
Valery - What does Valery believe that the Great War has taught the world and in what condition does he believe it left it?
Freud - Explain Freud's idea that the Great War was carried on in a manner that was a direct contrast to anybody's expectations for war and how he believed the war would leave the world.
Keynes - Explain the harsh developments that Keynes believed would happen in Germany as a result of the Treaty of Versailles and what he believed the ultimate effect would be.
