Due Thursday: Prepare for a quiz on pages 403-406 (start at "American Success in Combat", stop at "Fighting over There"); p. 408 - (look at the casualties anc costs of the war); 414-416 (start at "Social Changes during the War" through the end of the section). Focus on the following questions to prepare for the quiz:
1. What role did the US forces play once the US became involved in the war?
2. Which countries lost the most men? spent the most money?
3. How did the war affect African-Americans and women in the United States? what were the effects of the flu epidemic?
