Due Thursday: Read Section 23.4 in your textbook and create a chart reflecting the positive and negative effects that Napoleon had on France. Be sure to address why you perceive the effects to be positive or negative. You should be sure to include both domestic (in France) and foreign policy (military) decisions that Napoleon made.
Also, in no more than one page, answer the following question: Was Napoleon's reign beneficial or detrimental to France?
A Block - due Wednesday. Questions 1-4 from the Napoleon packet. You must answer the first part of question 3 - the second part of question 3 (about Machiavelli), can be answered for extra credit.

Due Thursday: Read 23.7 about "Homesteaders" and complete the worksheet about creating a diary entry as if you were a homesteader. Also, answer question #10 from the video worksheet (about 1 paragraph), explaining what the quotes from Watkins and Momaday say about the importance of the transcontinental railroad to the USA.
