US History (C2) - A Block
Due Wednesday: Prepare for a quiz on the first part of the "Dear America" video on the Vietnam War. It will cover the entire first sheet of notes and questions 1- 5 on the second sheet of notes.
World History II(H) - B / G Blocks
Due Wednesday: Read "Recollections", "Recollections of August 6, 1945", "Concentration Camp Life and Death" and "A German Perspective on the Holocaust" (Honors - Do all 4, C1 - do "August 6" and two others); explain how each of the readings reflects both a lack of humanity (care and concern for other humans) and the resilience (ability to overcome difficulties) of the human spirit. You don't have to cite every example in the readings, but you should use specific evidence to support your conclusions.
US History (C1) - E Block
Due Thursday: Read JFK's inaugural address and list 5 things he would like to see for the US role in the world and 5 things he would like to see for the US at home. Summarize what these say about his vision for the US as a world power and for development at home.
Prepare for a quiz on 20.2 - focus on what President Kennedy's domestic priorities were and how he was able to create the feeling of a "new frontier" in American life; how was the country changed by his assassination?
