World History II(H) - A / B Blocks
Due Tuesday:
a) Finish the invention grids you were working on in class today
b) Review the information in section 25.2 and, using what you have read, create a visual representation of a typical industrialized city in 19th century England. This should reflect what you think the city would have looked like, as opposed to what an ideal industrialized city would look like. The visual should reflect the following:
- social issues that a city faces
- the environmental problems
- the kinds of buildings you would find
- city lay-out
Don't just dwell on the negative aspects of a city - consider the positive aspects as well.
Also, include a 1/2 page paragraph that explains your city lay-out, explaining why you designed it in the matter you did. What information from the text did you incorporate into your design.
