Read 31.4 and explain the 5 most important missteps that were made on the path to World War II. Do not include more than 2 that are directly involved with the handling of Adolf Hitler and Germany. (Due Thursday)

Read "Thank God for Atom the Bomb" and "Chapters 2 & 7" from "Hiroshima's Legacy". Find 7 arguments from each of the readings ("Thank God..." and "2 & 7") that are made to either support ("Thank God...") or dispute ("2 & 7") the use of the atomic bomb. For each of those 7 arguments, develop an argument that could be used to counter the argument. HINT: Identify the arguments while you are reading, but don't identify the counter-arguments until you have read the whole packet. Arguments don't have to be explained - should be able to state them in just a couple of sentences. (Due Friday)
